Tailgating in Texas: Matching the Right Restroom Trailer to Your Crowd

Football season in Texas is not a Sunday afternoon. It is Friday night under the lights, Saturday morning in a stadium lot, and Sunday in a parking area claimed since dawn. And at every one of those, somebody is standing in a line they did not plan for. Tailgating has its own restroom math, and it is not the same math as a wedding.

Two Things Decide What You Need

The first is the line — how many people are waiting at the busiest moment. Demand at a tailgate peaks twice: once mid-tailgate, and again in the twenty minutes before everyone walks to the gate. The second is the tank — how many uses before the trailer needs servicing. This one has a straightforward answer. If your tailgate runs long, we schedule a service visit during the day and reset it.
A wedding spreads restroom traffic across an evening. A tailgate compresses it into two spikes — and both of them land when nobody wants to wait.
Scheduled service does not shorten the line, but it takes the tank out of the conversation entirely. Most people only plan for the first one.

Where the Numbers Land for a Tailgate

Our guest ranges assume a single-day event of four to six hours. A tailgate with a bar running all afternoon sits at the lower end of every range — alcohol is the biggest variable in restroom demand, and a tailgate has it in quantity. Read the ranges below as a starting point, then call us.

High School Friday Nights

Booster club tailgates, homecoming and senior night bring families — grandparents, small children, parents pushing strollers. Crowd makeup matters more here than headcount. The Steward is usually the right call. Three fully private rooms, configured 1W / 1M / 1U / 1ADA, and every one is a room you lock behind you with your own sink. The ADA suite sits on a hydraulic lowering frame that drops the ramp to a gentle grade with handrails on both sides. Range: 150 to 225 guests.

College Saturdays

College tailgates are the marathon — alumni groups, chapter tents, and crowds that arrive at nine in the morning for a six o’clock kickoff. This is where the Queen earns her keep in a way she does nowhere else:
  • Two 40-inch smart TVs at the vanities: an antenna pulls in the over-the-air broadcast, or connect them to your Wi-Fi and stream — nobody misses a play while they wash their hands
  • LED awning: shade over the entrance through the hottest part of the afternoon
  • Granite counters and wood cabinetry: the finish people comment on
  • Configured 3W / 1M / 2U: three full-door lockable stalls on the women’s side, two urinals and a private stall on the men’s
Unlike the rest of the fleet the Queen is a shared trailer rather than individual private rooms — the vanities are shared, the toilets are behind locking doors. Range: 300 to 450 guests, and for an all-day Saturday plan toward 300.

Sundays and Sponsor Activations

Professional tailgates split into two kinds: the big open lot party, and the corporate activation where a brand is hosting clients. For volume, the Baron is the answer — eight individual private suites, each with its own exterior door, toilet and sink. Every suite is unisex and gets designated on site, so you are never stuck with a line five deep on one side and an empty side on the other. Range: 400 to 600 guests. For a shorter guest list where the impression matters more, the Squire is the play. Two fully private rooms in luxury trim, configured 1W / 1M / 1U. Range: 100 to 150 guests.

Quick Reference

  • Family or booster tailgate: the Steward, 150 to 225, and it brings ADA access with it
  • Alumni tailgate wanting televisions and shade: the Queen, 300 to 450
  • Large open-lot party: the Baron, 400 to 600
  • Small VIP or sponsor hospitality: the Squire, 100 to 150
  • Larger than that: we combine units and place them at opposite ends of the lot
These are recommendations, not ceilings. We have run the Queen at 650 guests at a food-tasting event where no alcohol was served, and the tanks never filled. Tell us how the day runs and we will size it with you.

Two Things Tailgaters Forget

  • Power: our trailers run on standard 120V, 20-amp circuits, and stadium lots often have limited access. Tell us early and we will work it out before delivery day rather than on it.
  • Placement: put the trailer where people already are, near the food and the bar. Leave a lane clear for our truck if you want a service visit partway through a long day.
